Big news for Oregon families! The Mother PAC is thrilled to introduce the four endorsed care champions that secured their spots on the November 2026 general election ballot: Myrna Muñoz, Dr. Tammy Carpenter, Lamar Wise, and Nafisa Fai are ready to fight for the care economy in Oregon.
These leaders didn’t just win endorsements—they won the trust of voters who believe that care is infrastructure. They’ve proven they’ll center the voices of parents, caregivers, and working families in every decision they make.
Our Endorsed Candidates Advancing to November Ballot
Tina Kotek — Oregon Governor District 15

Governor Kotek has demonstrated a willingness to listen when caregivers and parents organize and speak up. Her commitment to expanding affordable childcare and universal preschool to every corner of the state reflects our belief that transformative change is driven by the voices of mothers and caregivers.
“One of my priorities for my second term will be to expand affordable childcare and universal preschool to every corner of the state. I will be relying on experts, legislators, and community leaders and caregivers to help me craft the best way to make this a reality.” — Tina Kotek
Myrna Muñoz — Senate District 15 (Forest Grove, Cornelius, Hillsboro, Rock Creek)

A proud member of migrant and farmworker communities with nearly 30 years of experience as a bilingual educator, Myrna knows the childcare crisis firsthand. As a mother and former teacher who once had to bring her own children to her classroom due to lack of alternatives, she’s committed to fighting for full Employment Related Day Care funding and strong public schools.
“Workers and families know what they need; my job is to amplify their voices.” — Myrna Muñoz
Dr. Tammy Carpenter — House District 27 (Beaverton, Cedar Hills)

Dr. Tammy Carpenter is fighting to fully subsidize childcare and protect Paid Leave Oregon. She refuses to accept that we must pit working families against caregivers when it comes to wages.
“The state must fully subsidize this important work.” — Dr. Tammy Carpenter
Lamar Wise — House District 48 (Portland, Happy Valley, Damascus, Boring)

A labor advocate and former executive director of the Oregon Student Association, Lamar understands that when childcare fails, families fall behind. He’s ready to fight for the real infrastructure our communities need: childcare, healthcare, schools, and housing.
“Caregivers, paid and unpaid, sustain our communities.” — Lamar Wise
Nafisa Fai — Washington County Chair

Nafisa has proven she treats care work as the backbone of our economy. Her commitment to reproductive justice and affordable childcare aligns with our vision of an Oregon where every family has economic security.
“Care is infrastructure. Caregiving, reproductive justice, and family stability must be treated as essential to the health of our communities and our economy.” — Nafisa Fai

Thank You
And to two of our endorsed candidates who stepped up to run this year, thank you. John Wasielewski and Blayne Solymanni-Pearson ran for Oregon House of Representative District 38 and Washington County Board of Commissioners District 2, respectively. They brought The Mother PAC’s values and issues to the forefront of their campaigns and we can’t wait to see where their leadership takes them next.
What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. The November election will determine whether Oregon continues to invest in families or leaves them behind. We need every caregiver, parent, and advocate to stay engaged.
